Deb and I had a great discussion last Monday about Anne Rice's
Called Out of Darkness. I admit it was a dry read at first, but she made some points that were hard to disagree with and lent themselves to good debate. Deb did some extra research on Anne's life since the end of the book, as we've heard she's left the church again. I think she's a brilliantly intelligent person. We also learned she has a son who is gay and an author of 5 novels to date. The story of Anne's life makes me want to read more of her. I picked up
Interview With a Vampire from the library this week. :)

Our current read is
Huck, by Janet Elder. We will meet at
Biggby Jackson on Monday, Nov. 14, 7-9 pm. (Can you believe we're almost to November already?!)

After
Huck, for our next book, we've chosen
Unmeasured Strength, by Lauren Manning.
Have a wonderful remaining October!
